How is Cheselden different from a continuing care solicitor?
Cheselden are not continuing care solicitors. We’re the UK’s leading continuing care review experts. It could be faster and less stressful to resolve your case if you ask us to act for you rather than appoint a solicitor.
Most continuing care solicitors will charge an upfront fee before they will consider your case. You probably won’t get this back even if they don’t proceed. If your solicitor does proceed, they might act on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis. But if your case is successful you could find that your legal costs wipe out most or all of your settlement. It’s a big risk to take – and you could end up involved in a lengthy court case.
Our approach has far less risk. It’s free for Cheselden to assess your case. If you ask us to act for you, we will handle everything on your behalf. So if your case requires legal action, we will advise a leading continuing care solicitor to represent you.
We only take on cases we’re confident we can win. And until your case is won, there’s no ‘fee’ to pay. If we don’t win, you don’t pay us a penny. Any amount you pay will be a pre-determined percentage of the care costs that we reclaim from the NHS, so there won’t be any ‘surprises’. It’s the safer option to choose Cheselden.
We comply with the Solicitors’ Introduction and Referral Code published by the Law Society, and any solicitor to whom we may refer you is an independent professional from whom you will receive impartial and confidential advice. You are free to choose another solicitor.
